Wireform human mobile

Medium : brass
Size: 80 cm (H) x 90 cm (W) x 60 cm (D)
Completed in 2005

This sculpture pays a homage to the modernist sculptor Alexander Calder and his mobile sculptures. It reflects the self as a wire frame action man. Being a sensation gatherer, it playfully animates in the twisting and turning motion of the sculpture. This suggests a linear drawing of an energetic man, reacting like a wind surfer or making acrobatic stunts. It is an induction of sports, the arts and entertainment as a basic necessity for live, work and play.
